Alderney Trips

Alderney Trips

New for 2019, after the success of Big Buoys first Predator trip to the Island of Alderney I have included this as a regular occurrence for 2019.

It has long been known and that the bank fishing off the Island is exceptional well I have to say that the same goes for the predators.

Tope, Bull Huss and Sharks are there in abundance and as to their size well come and see.

The Island is a great place to visit also with good pubs, restaurant’s and B&B’s. Booking of the B&B accommodation would be down to you but can give some advice if required?

Big Buoy has gear on board to fish for these Predators and an available to hire at a modest cost, also if you bring your own gear will have terminal tackle for sale aboard should you require it.

The trips are 3, 4 and 5 days of great fishing on the 5-day trip the Hurd deep is a possibility?

Bream and Mackerel are not a problem to catch off the Island, so if any of your catch is wanted to take home I can freeze for you on the boat.

See the calendar for the dates as these trips are very tidal dependant.

Depart Portland Marina 0800 to sea. Fishing some wrecks on the passage over, arriving Bray Harbour approximately 1600. You will be taken ashore to your booked B&B by ferry.

Departing the following morning at a time to suit all on board, for a full day predator fishing about 8 hours certainly not less!

On a three-day trip we would depart the harbour and either wreck fish on the way home or predator fish until lunch time, arriving back home to Portland around 1700.

Four-day trips are the same format.

Five -day trips could include Fishing the Hurd Deep? but this would have to be agreed by all on the trip as it is a very long day. As with the three- four- day trips we would be back to Portland around 1700.

These trips are not for the faint hearted, the predators are big and will make your back ache!!!

Passports are required for this trip.     Max 6 people.
